Gerry Ambrose, has over 27 years of real estate experience in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Additionally, he has been instrumental in development of the Coralville area since 1978.
A former Marine, Mr. Ambrose received the Navy Cross for heroism and the Purple Heart after being wounded in Vietnam. After returning home, Gerry began his career in real estate, beginning with the North Ridge Land & Development Company. The North Ridge Residential Development continues to be one of the most sought-after residential neighborhoods in Coralville.
North Ridge was just the beginning for Gerry -- he continued to expand his pursuits through the years. His real estate team, together with Ambrose Development, turned the run-down 5th Street & 12th Avenue area of Coralville and transformed it into what is now known as City Center Square, a sophisticated commercial plaza with a variety of banks, salons, coffee shops and businesses, as well as other specialty shops too numerous to mention. Mr. Ambrose also constructed the 12th Avenue Center, where Ambrose & Boyd, REALTORS is now located.
His numerous awards for development include the Coralville Community Enhancement Award in 1990, 1999 and 2000 for Renovation of an Existing Property and New Community Development Award. His real estate honors include the Diamond Achievement Award for Listing and Sales Excellence in 1997 and 1999. Additionally, in 1998, he received the very prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors and the President's Circle Award from Prudential Real Estate Affiliates.
Now practicing primarily in commercial leasing and development, Gerry can be counted on to conduct his business ethically and professionally. His dedication to the development of the Iowa City/Coralville area is evident through his many projects to improve this beautiful area.
